Question:     (15 Marks)

Write a TSR program that will clear all the contents of the screen and write your name and VU ID (Ali – BC0000000) at the bottom center of the video text memory available at 0xB8000000 whenever interrupt 8 is invoked.  Also, note that the fore color of your name should be green and back color should be white. Whereas, fore color of your VU ID should be white and back color should be blue.


NOTE: If you are feeling any difficulty while making your program a TSR program then it is recommended to view the “How_to_generate_COM_file_and_Execute_TSR_Program.ppt” file available at download section of CS609. Do not put any query on MDB about this assignment, if you have any query then email at cs609@vu.edu.pk

        I.            For clearing the whole screen

      II.            For Back & foreground coloring
                     See lec 04, page 31 & 32
DOSBOX ko BorlandC k sath use kia jaye ga.
1_Install DOSBOX.
2_Download BorlandC n Extract the files.
3_then Open n Mount it as

  • mount D D:\
  • D:
  • D:\> cd borlandc\bin
  • Now, Run the following command.
  • D:\borlandc\bin>bc.exe
3_ Output will be show as 'Hello World'.
